My background is financial analysis and audit — five years of university, learning to read businesses through numbers and systems. That training never left me. Before I think about content or strategy, I think about the math: what does this business need to earn, and what does it take to get there?
Most marketers start with creativity. I start with the spreadsheet. That's not a limitation — it's the foundation that makes everything else deliberate.
For 10 years I shot commercial photography and video — restaurants, yachts, real estate, hospitality brands. I worked alongside business owners closely enough to see, from the inside, what actually drives revenue and what just looks good in a feed.
I delivered beautiful content. And I watched it disappear into Instagram with no measurable impact. Not because the photos were wrong. Because there was no system behind them.
I opened my own café. Hired a team of 10. Did all the marketing myself — no agency, no budget to waste, just financial logic and everything I'd learned watching other businesses from behind a camera.
"Profitable by month two. Then I sold it — on my terms, at the right time."
That experience changed how I think about marketing permanently. When it's your own money and your own team, you stop caring about likes and start caring about whether the phone rings.
Every time I produced content for a client, I saw the same thing: businesses spending money on content with no system behind it. Beautiful photography, an active Instagram, consistent posting — and zero understanding of where clients come from, why they return, or why they leave.
The content wasn't the problem. The absence of strategy was.
Content without strategy is expensive decoration. That became the idea I couldn't stop thinking about.
I built Sector One around one principle: start with the revenue goal and work backwards. Every post, every page, every video — part of a system that brings qualified clients. Not just traffic. Not just followers. People who are ready to pay for what you do.
I work with businesses in South Florida in niches where trust determines the outcome: real estate, marine and yacht, construction, architecture, millwork. Markets where one right client pays for six months of marketing.
